Auditions for Senior Jazz will begin on Monday, May 10th and continue through Wednesday, May 19th. Auditions will be held with Mr. Rowe after school in the band room at HIMS.

Please contact the HIMS office at 252-5810 to schedule a time slot for your student.

Auditions will last approximately 15 minutes. Students should have a prepared piece that demonstrates his/her current ability and be prepared to play any of the 12 major scales.

Students will also be asked improvise on the concert Bb blues and will sight read a short piece. Drummers will need to demonstrate swing and latin drum beats and read a short piece.

Current Senior Jazz musicians that will return to HIMS next year do not need to audition.
